Psychosexual Talking Therapy
The ways we experience closeness, desire, and connection deeply influence our relationship with ourselves and those around us.
When difficulties arise, they can leave us feeling isolated, anxious, or uncertain.
Psychosexual therapy is a form of talking therapy that offers a supportive and confidential space to explore these issues with care and understanding.
I work with individuals and couples and partners who may be experiencing challenges such as differences in desire, erection or orgasmic difficulties, pain during sex, or anxiety around intimacy.
Others may seek psychosexual therapy to rebuild closeness after infidelity, to navigate relationship transitions, or to explore non-monogamous or polyamorous dynamics.
Talking therapy gives you the chance to slow down, reflect, and talk openly about the emotional and practical aspects of intimacy.
My approach draws on a range of therapeutic models, integrating insight, relational understanding, and awareness. This allows our work to be flexible and responsive to your unique needs.
Whether you come alone or with a partner, therapy can help you gain clarity, improve communication, and discover new ways of relating. Above all, my aim is to provide a safe, respectful, and welcoming space where you feel supported to move toward greater relational connection.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Therapy with me is a non-touch talking therapy, offered either in person or online, depending on what feels right for you.
The first step is to check availability for sessions. Over email let me know when you (and your partners) can meet for therapy. If our diaries align, we’ll then schedule an initial free 20-minute consultation, which gives us the chance to meet, explore what brings you to therapy, and see how we might work together. It’s also a good opportunity for you to ask any questions before making a commitment.
If we decide to continue, we’ll agree on a regular rhythm for sessions usually weekly or fortnightly to provide consistency and focus as we explore your concerns.
My aim is to create a safe, supportive, and respectful space where you can talk openly and move at a pace that feels manageable for you.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Each person’s journey is unique, and there isn’t a fixed number of sessions that suits everyone. Some people come with a specific concern that can be explored in a shorter timeframe, while others find ongoing support valuable as they work through things more deeply.
As a guide, I recommend allowing at least 3–4 sessions to settle into therapy, to build trust, and create a foundation. This gives us the space to establish momentum and see how therapy feels for you.
After this initial period, we can review together and decide what feels right moving forward.
The overall length of therapy will always depend on your needs, your goals, and the pace that feels most supportive for you.
